1952/53 MGTD; matching numbers with original ID plate and octagonal engine ID tag; owned since March 1973 (over 53 years!). Ivory (Cream) exterior; green leather interior; solid car; strong runner; engine rebuilt; transmission rebuilt; new master cylinder and wheel cylinders; SU carburetors rebuilt; fuel tank cleaned & coated; fuel pump rebuilt; water pump rebuilt with 6-vane impeller; rear shocks rebuilt; stainless exhaust; tires are two years old; battery is one year old; tan canvas Stayfast top, side curtains, and full tonneau.
Regular use in summer. Includes rare Runyan fiberglass hardtop with side curtains and mounting hardware.

1948 MG TC
This 1948 MG TC (Titled as a 1949 but built in September of 1948) is a very presentable driver quality car.
The owner and his son used to own Stonefield Vintage Garage and they performed the following work on the car.
1) The car was completely rewired including all new wiring harnesses. Turn signals were added and LED bulbs were installed for brakes and turn signals. The upper turn signals are not yet wired in.
2) The front and rear suspensions were rebuilt including disassembling, cleaning, painting and lubricating all springs as well as installing all new suspension bushings.
3) All shocks were completely rebuilt and new shock bushings installed.
4) The fuel system was completely cleaned and the carbs were rebuilt.
5) The steering box was rebuilt.
6) The entire braking system was rebuilt including new lines. The brake shoes were found to be in as new condition so those were not replaced.
7) The cooling system was flushed and a rebuilt water pump installed.
8) A front axle roller bearing conversion kit was installed.
9) A rear axle oil leak prevention kit was installed.
10) Wire wheels were media blasted, cleaned and painted. Five new tires and inner tubes were installed.
11) Some worn valve adjusters.
12) A complete tune up including new cap, rotor, wires, points, condenser, and spark plugs was performed.
The car does have air cleaners installed though not the stock setup.
The car includes top frame but no top. The side curtains fit but appear to be from an MG TD therefore they do not fit in the storage compartment in the rear of the cockpit. The interior could us some TLC but is not in bad shape. To the best of my knowledge the only things that don’t work are the speedometer, wipers and the horn.
Please note that the grill badges and front license plate are not included as they were gifts to me.

MG TC Parts
