Since BCFD has been postponed, we’ve decided not to let that ethanolized petrol sit idle in your rusting tank. Join us at Sussex Village Park at 10:40am. Gather at the same area we used last year for BCFD registration at the east side of the park. (Hwy VV to Maple Ave (stoplight) south to Sunset Ave, turn west several blocks and directly into the park.

We’ll leave the park promptly at 11:00 heading west on VV to Hwy 164 and north to the first Stop Light turning east to Hillside Drive. We’ll head north on Hillside for the next 11 miles of blinkerless (straight, Ron) driving. The scenery changes as often as the elevation. There are 8 Stop SIGNS between Sussex and Hwy 175. PLEASE NOTE the third or fourth stop sign has no “Stop Ahead” warning sign. Be on the lookout for a surprise stop sign!!!

When we reach Hwy 175 we’ll head Northwest towards Allenton and Slinger. We’ll stop in Slinger (Hwy 60) where we’ll pause for a “leak stop” *.  Then continue north on 175 til we reach St Lawrence. At Hwy K turn west to Hwy 83. South on 83 to Hartford. At the “T” intersection, Main St. turn south to downtown Hartford.

We’ll stop at “Scoop de Ville” for whatever Dad wants. If you’re hungrier, the Mine Shaft is a couple blocks further at Hwy 60. There’s parking around the rear. Happy Father’s Day!

*Leak-stop”. Once used for dripping radiators but now handy for replenishing the petro and pausing to refresh.

Duration: About 60 min from Sussex to Hartford.
