The annual Fall Tour is a 3-day, 2-night overnight get together with our sister club, the Madison British Car Group (Mad Brits) and the Austin-Healey club. Madison is this year’s host and coming our way … staging the event a short driving distance north of Milwaukee. Friday Sept 30 thru Sunday Oct 2 are the dates.
Itinerary outline:
Friday:
1. Meet up with the Mad Brits for lunch at the Mineshaft restaurant in Hartford
2. Scenic group drive
3. Check into Amerivu Inn & Suites in Sheboygan Falls
4. Drive 3 laps on the track at Road America in Elkhart Lake
5. Dinner together
Saturday:
- Breakfast
- Tour of Hydrographic, an amazing art shop in Plymouth, 10:00
- Lunch together
- Scenic group drive
- Dinner together
Sunday:
- Breakfast
- check out…head for home.
Amerivu Inn and Road America require advance reservations as follows:
Hotel: 1-920-467-4314 for Sept 30 & Oct 1, $99/night + tax for twin-Queen room, be sure to state “British Car Group”, group rate is available until Aug 30, cancellation is 72 hrs (3 days) prior. Inside info: if available, a single-Queen room is only $89/night.
RA drive: go online to https://roadamerica.com. Click “Get on Track”, choose “Sunset
Cruising”, click on Sept 30, fee is $20 /car (a bargain!)

It’s at the Ameri Vu Inn and Suites in Sheboygan Falls. Address 600 N.
Main St. Telephone # 920-467-4314. The price is $99.00 per night plus tax. (about $219.78 for the 2 nights.) The block of rooms are under British Car Group and you will have to provide a credit card when calling. The time of cut off is August 30 and they need 3 days before September 30th if you are going to cancel. Please make reservations right away so you don’t forget!
We plan on meeting all of you at The Mineshaft in Hartford for lunch on Friday. We will have to let you know the time later. We will have some free time there and then off for a leisure scenic drive to the hotel.
Our next venture is to go to Elkhart Lake to drive on the Road America Track Friday night. You will have to make a reservation so go on their website at roadamerica.com Go to “Choose Your Experience” and then to “Sunset Cruising” and put in September 30th and make a reservation. The cost is $20.00 for 3 laps. Seat belts are a must for cars 1962 or younger. Not sure about the older cars.
Saturday we have a time set up with Hydrograhic in Plymouth at 10:00 to experience the incredible work that they do. Lunch and then another leisure scenic drive in the area. Dinner (supper) after.
We’re planning on great weather, new and renewed friendships and all in all, a great time!! Make your reservations as soon as possible as they might be filling up fast for both the hotel and Road America. More details of the weekend will be coming when we get closer to the Fall Tour weekend. Hope to see all there!!
